POPCORN

'The price charged for popcorn in cinemas is too high.' - I agree!

Why do people need to munch popcorn when watching a film? I certainly think that hot smelly foods should not be sold at all.

I favour a campaign against over-priced water and other drinks in cinemas - especially now that the War on Terror is being cynically used as a cover by Cineworld to search for people taking in their own drinks.

Hello Cinema Fan

Yes . . . why do people eat popcorn at all at the cinema?

And why do theatres let you bring your own sweets but cinemas don't?

(Mind, I don't like people to eat at all during performances in theatres . . . it doesn't seem respectful to the performers . . . If I were an actress or a musician and I had spent weeks, months, years even learning my part - and people simply munched through it, I'd feel pretty let down and desperate!)

Because films don't tend to have intervals nowadays, perhaps it is sensible to have water and other drinks on sale in cinemas as a service to film goers - but not as a way of fleecing them!

At the same time, I'd be content if all food franchises in cinemas were closed. People could then carry in their 'picnics' openly.
