Because we are part of a global society. What Obama/Biden say about US action to tackle climate change is a whole lot less scary than what McCain/Palin have to say.
Decisions in the US will have some far reaching impacts on the UK economy whether to do with climate, finance or many of the other trade and political links we have with them.
